Technical Project Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager who understands both the technical and commercial aspects of residential building and can hit the ground running.

The role: This is a hands-on management position responsible for overseeing a variety of projects from pricing through to successful completion, including:

  • Monitoring project costs and maintaining strict cost control throughout construction
  • Working with the foremen to create and manage project programmes, timelines and client expectations
  • Identifying risks and solving technical and construction issues proactively
  • Ensuring projects meet quality, safety and compliance standards
  • Co-ordinating sub-contractors, suppliers and internal teams

Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll be working closely with clients, architects, suppliers and site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the exceptional quality standards our reputation is built on.

Ideally you’ll have:

  • Proven experience managing residential construction projects
  • Strong understanding of architectural new builds, renovations and additions
  • Excellent understanding of pricing, estimating and cost management
  • Outstanding organisational and communication skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A practical understanding of NZ residential construction methods and contracts
  • Experience using BuilderTrend (advantageous)
  • A trade qualification or construction management background would be beneficial
