A two-stage home renovation in Northland, Wellington
This Northland renovation gave Scotty’s Construction the opportunity to work with a returning client and transform the home in two carefully planned stages.
The first stage focused on creating greater privacy and comfort for the homeowners. A new master bedroom wing was added, complete with an ensuite, creating a dedicated retreat within the existing house.
The second stage turned attention to the main living areas. The large sunroom was repositioned and the kitchen and living space extended, making better use of the available floor area and natural light. The changes also improved indoor-outdoor flow, strengthening the connection between the home’s interior and outdoor spaces.
Staged renovations require careful planning so each phase works successfully on its own while still contributing to the long-term vision for the property. Existing structures, services and circulation all need to be considered as the home evolves.
