Contemporary coastal apartments overlooking Evans Bay
This Evans Bay site was previously occupied by an ageing villa that had reached the end of its useful life.
Working with architect John Mills, the brief was to replace it with two contemporary coastal apartments, each occupying a single level and designed to take full advantage of the site’s exceptional outlook.
Both apartments feature generous outdoor living areas, creating a strong connection between the interiors and views across the boatyard, Evans Bay and the surrounding hills.
Inside, high-spec finishes were selected to create light, refined living spaces. Natural-toned feature walls and curtains complement the coastal setting, while the overall design keeps the interiors feeling spacious and relaxed.
Each apartment also has its own separate garage with lift access, adding convenience and improving accessibility between levels.
Externally, dark-stained cedar cladding is paired with dark bronze window joinery and subtle feature screens. Together, these materials give the building a timeless and understated appearance that sits comfortably within its waterfront setting.
